Hamadan Restaurant
If you ever find yourself around Preston and craving something bold, spicy, and unapologetically flavorful, you’ve got to check out Hamadan Restaurant in Longridge. Tucked away at 1_3 Inglewhite Rd, this spot might not scream "flashy fine dining," but what it does offer is something even better-authentic flavors, hearty portions, and that comforting feeling of a neighborhood favorite that just knows how to do food right.
Let’s start with the obvious: if you’re hunting for Indian cuisine in Preston, Hamadan Restaurant should be right up there on your list. The vibe is casual, cozy, and unpretentious-perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or even a quiet solo dining experience. No need for reservations or dressing up; this place is all about letting the food shine.
Now, let’s talk dishes-because that’s what you’re really here for. One word: Tandoori. The Tandoori Mixed Grill is easily a fan-favorite. Smoky, sizzling, and served piping hot, this platter is a protein lover’s dream, loaded with perfectly marinated meats that are grilled to tender perfection. Pair it with a side of fluffy naan and you’re golden.
If you’re in the mood for something that hits with a bit more heat, go for the Chicken Madras. It's rich, fiery, and loaded with bold spices that’ll wake up your taste buds without overwhelming them. It’s the kind of dish that has regulars coming back weekly.
And don’t underestimate the small stuff-Onion Salad here is more than just a garnish. It’s tangy, crisp, and the perfect palate cleanser between bites of something spicy. It’s these little things that show the attention to detail in the kitchen.
What makes Hamadan Restaurant even more appealing is the sheer versatility. Whether you're grabbing a late-night bite or settling in for a proper three-course meal, they've got you. From beer and spirits to a solid wine list, they serve alcohol that pairs nicely with the spice-forward menu. If you're not in the mood for booze, you can opt for a coffee to wind down the night.
And yes, they do desserts too. If your spice tolerance has been pushed to the edge, a cool scoop of something sweet might be exactly what you need to wrap things up (but remember-no delivery, so you’ll have to drop by in person).
It’s worth noting that the restaurant doesn’t have a wheelchair-accessible entrance, which is something to be mindful of. That said, the service is welcoming and efficient, whether you're dining in or popping in for a takeaway. There’s a steady flow of locals coming through, especially around dinner hours, which is always a good sign.
What really makes Hamadan stand out is the balance between quality Indian food, affordable prices, and consistency. It’s not trying to be a trendy Instagrammable hotspot-it’s here to feed you well and remind you why Indian cuisine is comfort food at its best.
Plus, it's a solid pick if you're just looking to enjoy a quiet meal alone without feeling awkward. That’s not always easy to find, but Hamadan delivers on that front too.
So whether you're after a spicy curry fix, a grilled meat feast, or a low-key dinner spot with strong flavor game, Hamadan Restaurant checks all the right boxes.
